She’s adorable. And she’s bright. But she can’t read a prompter to save her soul.
Amy Holmes at The Blaze does the headline news cut-ins on Glenn Beck’s daily afternoon GBTV internet program.
Cute as a button. But can’t get through a mini newscast without ripping — tripping — over a word, accenting the wrong sy-llab’-le, or emphasizing THE wrong words. She doesn’t know how to interpret what she’s reading to convey the appropriate tone. So she sing-songs her way through it, her lilting voice squeaking out the news, her facial expressions saying she hopes you’ll forgive her adorable flubs.
Glenn! Somebody! Please! Get this gal a voice and articulation coach. It’s distracting. And difficult to take her seriously when I find myself counting the number of goofs in one short newsbreak. Please, get her some coaching. Amy, do yourself a favor! Get yourself some professional training.
Or maybe it doesn’t matter when you’re on-camera eye candy?

I just have to agree. During the first week of GBTV I hoped she would get better but now I just have to fast forward through her spot when I am watching his show. I have always liked her, but this is not the job for her.
I don’t know if the show is trying to get an old newscast style, but I don’t like the way she announces news rather than speaking to the viewer either.
