John Morgan is a fixture throughout Florida.  His face is on TV more than Obama’s.  A self-made millionaire, Morgan figured out at an early age that marketing his lawfirm was far more profitable than litigating.  Morgan and Morgan For The People is a term as ubiquitous here in the Sunshine State as — well, heat and humidity.

John Morgan hired the execrable Charlie Crist, Florida’s former governor, when the voters cast him out in his bid to represent us in the US Senate, that other college of crime.

So, when the Obamanoids said they’d come to Florida if the “For the People” crowd garanteed a half million bucks at the door, John Morgan stepped up his TV ads and put the arm on his pals to make rain.  Lots of it.

Here’s the story.  Oh, and the photo of President Usurper quaffing a brew at an Orlando bar with common folk — “for the people” is precious, isn’t it?  One friend captioned it  “Five and half white men.”

Five and a half white men.

Obama and Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer then stopped by the Harp and Celt Restaurant and Irish Pub, where they drank Guinness stouts while meeting for about 30 minutes with four out-of-work laborers, who drank Budweisers.

“You guys are what this country’s all about,” Obama told the three pipefitters and one plumber, according to a pool report.

The president next headed to a $1,500-a-head fundraiser in nearby Lake Mary at the home of attorney John Morgan, whose firm recently hired former Gov. Charlie Crist. The host committee for the Lake Mary event included NBA veteran Grant Hill, basketball Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing, Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers and former baseball star Ken Griffey Jr.

Obama carried Florida with 51 percent of the vote in 2008, but a recent Quinnipiac University poll found 57 percent of the state’s voters disapproving of his job performance and 53 percent saying he doesn’t deserve a second term.
