Just when you think things couldn’t get more preposterous, our beloved President unloads another pile of crack-pottery.

President Barack Obama defended the plan to build a mosque near the site of the 2001 terror attacks in New York, telling Muslim guests at a Ramadan dinner at the White House that the nation’s commitment to freedom of religion “must be unshakable.”

Mr. Obama’s remarks came after weeks of the White House sidestepping the debate that has roiled New York and the nation since developers announced plans to build a $100 million, 13-story mosque and Islamic cultural center just two blocks from the World Trade Center site.

[He said] “But let me be clear: as a citizen, and as president, I believe that Muslims have the same right to practice their religion as anyone else in this country. That includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan… This is America, and our commitment to religious freedom must be unshakable…”

…A Marist College poll found that 53% of New York City voters oppose constructing the mosque near the former site of the World Trade Center. Just 34% favored the plan.

Debra Burlingame, whose brother Charles Burlingame was the pilot of the plane the terrorists hijacked and flew into the Pentagon, said she was furious over the president’s remarks.

“I’m so angry. I believe this president has abandoned the American people,” she said. “This isn’t a fight about religious freedom for Muslims. No one has argued they don’t have the property rights. This is about a project led by someone who says he’s trying to build bridges and bring the community together and he’s chosen probably the worst place in America and the worst way to do it.”

The president’s statements are utterly, completely false.

The imam in question has endorsed the implementation of Sharia law in the United States. By his own admission then, the brand of Islam he wishes to practice is not a religion — it is a political system.

Sharia law is a legal system that completely rejects the Constitution and the American form of government. Thus, there is absolutely no “separation of church and state” issue.

3,000 souls were murdered by Islamists in the name of their political religion on 11 September 2001. Tens of thousands of innocents have perished since then — killed in beheadings, stonings, executions, hangings, beatings, floggings, suicide bombings and more.

All were murdered in the name of a political system that adopts the guise of a religion.

But as with health care and the economy, President Obama doesn’t care what you or I think. Facts, logic, reason and history play no part in his “decision-making”. Only ideology matters with this particular breed of hard-left Democrats.

Obama came out for the Islamic supremacist mosque at the hallowed ground of 911 attack. He has, in effect, sided with the Islamic jihadists and told the ummah (at an Iftar dinner on the third night of Ramadan, of course) that he believes in and supports a triumphal mosque on the cherished site of Islamic conquest.

If you had any doubt who Obama stood with on 911, there can be no doubt in our minds now.

I believe he planned it all along. He waited until Ramadan. Symbolic. He has now turned our Ground Zero protest on 911 into a mega-event. The very idea of a 15-story mega-mosque on hallowed ground in indecent, offensive and outrageous. If Imam Rauf and his wife Daisy really wanted to “reach out” and “heal,” they would give the $120 million to the first responders suffering from exposure to the toxic environment at Ground Zero after Muslim terrorists brought down the World Trade Center and slaughtered 3,000 Americans.

Obama knows this is not about religious liberty. No one has suggested abridging the first amendment to stop the mosque. This is not a religious issue. This is a national security issue.

Once again, Obama puts himself directly at odds with the majority of the American people, as is his way and the hallmark of his presidency. This is all explained in detail, in my book.

I’m wonderin’ if folks on the Left and on the Right might be thinkin’ that all them other folks wantin’ to know who this Obama character is are — p’tooey –  “birthers”, and they are plumb crazy.

Yeah, it’s enuf to make ‘em get all twisted up in their knickers and get to settin’ their hair on fire agin.   I know, I can hear ‘em thinking and grumblin, “Why, don’t those dumb ol’ birthers know enuf to leave it t’alone?  Ain’t no “there” there.  Everyone knows it ain’t no battle worth fightin’ over.”

Heh… well Ma, the kettle’s a’whistlin’, no matter what the “betters” might be thinkin’ bout it.

Yee-epp.  The dog days of summer are here and they just gonna keep on gettin’ hotter. Ain’t they Obama?   Yep. Gettin’ hotter…

That there tabloid rag, whatchamacallit –  “The Globe” — is splashin’ some mighty inerestin’ news of some social security numbers.  Seems Obama’s got a few in his pocket, and most of ‘em are fakes.  Genuine forgeries.  Yep.  There t’is — all over the front cover. In eye-catchin’ color.

Seems some folks have been diggin’.  Ain’t never stopped since the day this cat come into town on his high horse. Just diggin and diggin…

Yep, they been jest goin’ about their business, ignorin’ those uppity folks who like to look down their noses at — peeyew! — them’s they call the “birthers”.  (Man, don’t they stink!)

Well no matter, cause these here puzzle pieces are fittin’ together right nice, and the picture we’re seein’ sure ain’t Camelot.  No sirree, Bob.

Some folks are pitchin’ in their pennies and dimes to buy themselves some big ol’ billboards.  You know the kind — them big ol slabs like where everyone can see when they’s travelin’ down the road?  Yep.  There’s writin’ on them big boards.  Words askin’ where he was born.  Who his kinfolks was.  Where he was schooled, and whatnot.  Simple questions anybody’d ask about their president, I reckon.  And they’d be happy to see a birth certificate, thanky very much.  A real one. That’s all.

Some of them boards have pictures on ‘em.  Kinda like a histr’y lesson.  They got Hitler, and Stalin, and just so’s they don’t feel left out — Mao Tse Tung and Obama too.  Right nice of them folks to include ‘em up there on the storyboard o’ the ages.  Even if they’s the dark ones.

Seems Oh-bamma ain’t doing too well in the popularity contest neither.  Some’s saying he’s in the negatives.  Hoooey!  Lessen 22 points is what they’re tellin.  Phew!  Ain’t never seen folks be so negative on a man, lest he was a horse thief…

That keeps up, could be jest a matter of time ‘fore ol’ Bammy’s handlers toss him into the pigsty with the rest of the oinkers fightin’ for swill.  I reckon the time’ll come when the ones that brung him will hung him.

Oh, was that a bad thing to say?  Didn’t mean it to sound like a colored thing.  No sirree.  Ain’t ’bout color. I just like things that rhyme.

Like hope and dope. Or… dreams and schemes.  Yeah… like that.  Or how ’bout “red and dead”.

Cause that’s what he’s gonna be when his keepers get to feelin’ like he’s a stone ’round their necks.  Bossmans don’t cotton much to a hired hand who don’t get the job done and ‘stead cause ‘em nothin’ but troubles.  Like, take Obama’s missus, for example.  Now there’s an uppity woman if I ever saw one.  Always scowlin’ here, scowlin’ there. Don’t matter none if she goes to Spain for lunch with the royals.  Some women just ain’t never satisfied.  You could give ‘em the bigget piece o’ cake on the platter, and they still act like someone just passed gas.  She ain’t never happy.  Why, all you got to do is change one letter and there she is!  Harpy!

You kinda got to feel a little badly toward the skinny One.  Even tho’ he is an arrogant cuss, he’s jest a shuck and jive man, doing his best to keep his bosses satisfied. And he sure do got a lot o’ bosses… Soros, SEIU, ACORN, Ayers, the Saudis, Ahmadinijad… lord a’mercy!  I don’t know how a man can keep up with it all.  No wonder he’s got to get some fresh air alla time.  Lucky for him there’s that there golf thing.  Otherwise, lord knows what he might else do…

‘Pray as if everything depends on God’ – Glenn Beck

From his radio show earlier on Thursday:

The Center For American Progress has education cuts. We started the hour telling you about how the press is ‑‑ the press is just being, it’s being gutted. I told you about the Internet today and free press and what’s happening with free press and the Internet and how that is all about to change. We told you about the economic strife that is headed our way. I mean, look out, gang. You know, we showed you the mass graves here. There’s something bad happening in the Middle East. There’s just a lot of things that are going on, civil unrest that is beginning.

Tonight on television I’m going to do two things. I want to show you the history of the Weimar Republic and specifically, specifically how it ties into what happened in Atlanta yesterday and with the Fed and what is to come. Learn from history, and you will see what is about to come our way.

The second half of the show is going after the Center of American progress and their new report on education. Now, we all know that education cuts have to be made but they don’t need to be done at the federal level. They need to be done at the state level. Education needs to be controlled by the states, not the federal government. Abolish the Department of Education and let the states do it. And let the states negotiate their way out with these unions. Period.

The Center For American Progress has another idea. They would like to start their cuts. They’re not as broad as mine, of course. They would like to develop and cut the narrow low‑impact programs from the Department of Education. One of these low impact and narrow almost niche programs include academies for American history and civics. This is a program which provide workshops for teachers on American history. We should probably cut that. Then we the people needs to be cut. This is a program for the center for civic education to instruct students in the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

So America, ask yourself these ‑‑ ask yourself this question. With as corrupt as our government is right now, and it is wildly corrupt ‑‑ and this isn’t a Republican thing ‑‑ or, I mean, a Democrat thing. ‘Trent Lott: ‘Last thing we need is a bunch of Jim DeMints around there. We need to co-opt them.’ I mean, they are about power. That’s all they are about, power. And the power in Washington must be reduced, must. Not reduced.

The power in Washington must be restored to its original power. How are you going to do that? How are you going to do that? How are you going to solve the financial crisis when you have Cass Sunstein and a bill that once Obama ‑‑ let’s just say Obama comes in and he abolishes ‑‑ or I mean, a Republican Democrat ‑‑ I mean, a Republican congressman and it’s all Republican utopia. Do you really think they are going to reverse the financial reform package? No. They will use it to their advantage. And it will continue to grow.

So how are you going to, how are you going to change that? How are you going to change ethics in Washington? How are you going to change the banking problem and the ethics in banking and the ethics in business? How are you going to repair with cries of racism? And it happened with George Bush and it’s happening with Barack Obama. How are you going to repair the illegal immigration problem? How are you going to repair the healthcare problem that we have? We all admit that our healthcare system is broken. It’s broken. Now, how are you going to repair that? With the situation that we have with politics?

How are you going to fight and keep your children when you are so busy fighting on all other fronts, when you have this nonsense being taught in schools? How are you going to fight the battle that is in your church now with social justice and collective salvation? Most people in churches aren’t even aware of it now. They are not even aware of it. There are some preachers that don’t even know.

I talk to some people that watch these trends. They said last election people that should know… had no idea what was happening in their churches. How are you going to do that? It’s the same question that people asked in the 1760s. How would you possibly separate from Britain? You can’t. You can’t. You can’t defeat them. You can’t win against them. They hold all the cards. You can’t do it.

The awakening that led people to understand that they have direct access to inspiration and the power of God, direct access. Not through anybody, not through any church. Direct access. And if the people restore themselves, this is 1760, 1740s they are saying this. If the American people would restore themselves to God, it will all work out.

It is a night of how religion plays a role in the governance of this country. It’s a separation of church and state. Religion and God plays a role in the individual life and then you don’t need very much government because we self‑govern. We will take the words of the preachers of the 1740s to 1770 and show you what lines from sermons were taken out and used as foundation of this country and then we have members from, there’s a rabbi that’s going to be speaking, there is an evangelical that’s going to be speaking, there’s members of many faiths that are going to take those words from those sermons and translate them into today’s world.

There will be things that have never happened before at the Kennedy Center, I understand. We’re going to talk about, turn your life over to God. That’s it. Let Him work it out. Let Him work it out. And there’s a difference. I want to make sure you understand this. It doesn’t mean you do nothing. God helps those who help themselves, but you have to ‑‑ how did you put that just a little while ago, Pat?

Hold the phone… Levin takes up for Beck!

I have posted here in the past about Mark Levin’s chronic sniping about Glenn Beck.  I said it served to make Levin look small, venal, envious.

I like Levin.  He’s informative, patriotic, entertaining, and mostly outrageous, with a huge heart for our military.  There’s a lot to like there.  So it kinda pained me to hear his petty and insulting rants about Beck.

Well, pigs are flying and hell has frozen over… listen to this.   Levin has taken up for Beck.

About time Levin! The dude needs to take some blood pressure medicine and lay off his fellow conservative/libertarian radio commentators. Glenn makes a point of not laying into fellow conservative/libertarian radio/tv commentators he disagrees with unless he can talk to them in person. No low blows… unless it’s libs like Ed Schultz or Keith Olbermann… lol

Sometimes I wonder if Levin is just jealous that he doesn’t have more market share.
