Lloyd and Mary Marcus thank everyone for participating in the recording session.

The joint was jumpin!  Today a recording session took place at the Deltona Records Recording studio in Deltona FL . The purpose?   Lloyd Marcus’ “Take Back America”, a song that brought politically Conservative singers and musicians from across America to lend their voices to a very special song.

Lloyd is compiling a CD of original material from various artists to benefit the families of our fallen military through America’s Mighty Warriors, an organization begun by Gold Star Mom Debbie Lee. You may recall that Debbie toured with us on the national Tea Party Express III.

“Having toured with Gold Star Mom Debbie Lee, president of Americas Mighty Warriors on the Tea Party Express III tour, I can think of no better beneficiary to receive all proceeds from the recording,” Lloyd said.

The session began with a prayer.  Debbie Lee then thanked everyone for their involvement in this project and read a letter — the last one she received from her son Marc Alan Lee, the first U.S. Navy SEAL to give his life in the Iraq war.  Debbie brought with her  polo shirts with the America’s Mighty Warriors logo — a pair of dog tags with Marc’s name.  Marc was killed in a vicious gun battle on August 2, 2006, and was posthumously awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star with Valor, and a Purple Heart.

Earlier last week, Lloyd laid down his solo vocals.  Today, musicians Kay and Ron Rivoli of the Rivoli Revue and other professionals added their voices.  Another 35 more chimed in to sing the chorus. My voice was among them.

The Anchoress has a stunning take on what Obama knew and when he knew about the scope and gravity of the oil gushing from a well deep in the Gulf of Mexico.  She’s a lot kinder in her language than I might have been.  Certain unladylike descriptives about our “commander in chief” come to mind…  not the least of them — he should be boiled in this oil.

Critics have bashed President Obama for being slow to seize the political initiative in combating the BP oil spill in the Gulf Coast, now widely believed to be the worst environmental disaster in U.S. history. The White House has battled back, releasing a timeline of events showing that Obama was briefed—and deploying the Coast Guard—within 24 hours of the Deepwater Horizon blowout.

What has not been previously disclosed: The president was not only briefed on the real-time events of the spill, but also on just how bad it would be—and how hard it would be to plug the hole.

Carol Browner, director of the White House Office of Energy and Climate Change Policy, told Obama at one of the earliest briefings in late April that the blowout would likely lead to an unprecedented environmental disaster, senior White House aides told The Daily Beast. Browner warned that capping a well at such depths had never been done before, and that they ought to expect an oil spill that would continue until a relief well was drilled in August, the aide said.

That early briefing on the scope of the spill—and enormous technical challenges involved in fixing it—might help explain the sense of fatalism that has infused Obama’s team from the start.

Our friend and frequent guest on the radio program — Dr. Jerry Corsi — has uncovered some disquieting news about a top member of Obama’s Administration:

John Brennan, Deputy National Security Advisor for Counter Terrorism and Homeland Security

“A top adviser to President Obama is the contact person within the White House for communications with the Free Gaza Movement over plans to challenge Israel’s blockade of the terrorist Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, according to a reputable source close to the Netanyahu government.

The source, a career official whose reliability was established through his tips for the book, “Why Israel Can’t Wait,” identified John O. Brennan, deputy national security adviser for homeland security and counterterrorism, as the contact.

The allegation raises the bizarre possibility that the Free Gaza Movement’s flotilla action in the Mediterranean was being coordinated with the White House, something that would align with a shift in U.S. policy toward Israel being debated within the Obama administration.”

Of course, the Administration is denying it. But John “my favorite city is Al Quds (Jerusalem in Arabic)” Brennan’s previous associations and actions strongly suggest otherwise.

Brennan’s activities in his “counterterrorism” work have involved him in situations with domestic groups known to have ties to Middle East terrorism.

WND previously has reported that Brennan participated in a meeting with Muslim law students, facilitated by the Islamic Society of North America, a group that was named an unindicted co-conspirator in a case where the founders of the Holy Land Foundation of Texas were given life sentences “for funneling $12 million” to Hamas, the group currently in political control of Gaza.

WND further reported that at a meeting with Muslim law students at New York University, Brennan declared himself a “citizen of the world” who believed the United States government should never engage in “profiling” in pursuit of national security.

The New York Times reported this week that the Obama administration’s policy toward Israel was changing in a re-evaluation that now considers Israel’s blockade of Gaza to be untenable. But Israel’s Prime Minister Netanyahu insisted in a special press conference in his office Thursday that “Israel will not apologize for defending itself,” which strongly suggested Israel fully intends to continue its blockade.

“There is a time to fight”

...that time has now come.

It’s very early in the morning and the rest of the world still sleeps.  The sun hasn’t yet risen, but I have.  Something has roused me awake.  A restlessness has overtaken me.  So here I sit in front of this computer, paging through some of the windows I’ve saved to post about or to read.

One in particular catches my eye.  It’s a piece by Mark Alexander at the Patriot Post.  He’s titled it, “There is a Time to Fight.”

“Patriots, this struggle is difficult. The odds of utter success are long. Then again, so it was also at the very founding of our nation. It will most certainly take more than one election cycle seat a Congress willing to restore Rule of Law, but reaffirm our commitment to that end we must.”

For some time now, I have had an aching in my heart. The kind that brings about deep sighs and a sense of unease, of sadness.  I’m losing someone dear to me.  I see it slipping away.  And it brings me to tears.  I long for it — yearn for what was ours.  What have we done? “Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you’ve got till its gone.  They pave paradise, and put up a parking lot.”

Alexander reminds us that today is the sixth anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s death. Time to take account of his legacy.

“Four weeks hence, Patriots will reflect upon the immense sacrifices, in both blood and treasure, that were spilt in creation of the United States of America, the greatest experiment in human history.”

“In the words of Samuel Adams, “Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigues of supporting it.”

“Take heart, though, and implore God’s blessing that we are on the side of Truth and Light. And know that it is our civic duty, the remembrance of our heritage, and the education of our posterity that calls us to act now; to act in unison, to act continually and forcefully.”

The first morning bird is chirping, though it is still dark.  Always darkest before dawn…  Maybe that little bird is waking his neighbors because he knows the sun is going to rise and there’s work to be done.

Gird yourselves for the next five months; honor the sacrifices of our forebears with your own; and plow the fields for our posterity.

As Founder Joseph Warren said, “On you depend the fortunes of America. You are to decide the important question, on which rest the happiness and liberty of millions yet unborn. Act worthy of yourselves.”

And these enduring words from Peter Muhlenberg in 1776: “There is a time for all things, a time to preach and a time to pray, but those times have passed away. There is a time to fight, and that time has now come.”

Maybe it’s time to put on the coffee.  The lone little bird has awoken a neighborhood and the old oak trees have come alive with the sound of their singing.  Their sleep is over.  I don’t think I’ll be going back to sleep any time soon.

The Gulf Oil Spill – Financial expert: “They knew ahead of time”

Bob Chapman, financial expert and author of the International Forecaster newsletter, joined us on my radio program Friday night to talk about Goldman Sachs cashing out 44%  ($4,680m) of its shares in BP Oil in the first quarter of this year, just ahead of April’s oil rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico.  Was it simply good luck in their timing?  Or was there more to it than that?

I asked him about a story that had gone viral earlier last month in which it was reported that Goldman Sachs had placed shorts on TransOcean (oil rig owner) stocks days before the explosion. I couldn’t find the original source. Bob said he couldn’t find any either.  Here’s what he did tell us about Goldman Sachs and his theory on what’s really going on:

“They also (Goldman Sachs) also sold 43 percent of their position in BP and I suspect — although we’ll not know probably ever  — that they probably used derivatives to short the other part of their position.  And they probably — if they didn’t do that, they shorted against the box, which freezes your position.  And so they knew something was going down. And so didn’t Halliburton. And Halliburton bought  — about three weeks or so before the event… they bought out a company that specializes in taking care of problem wells, although Halliburton’s perfectly capable of doing that.  And so there’s a lot of question for complicity.

Freezing a position?

“They go to a market maker, like an insurance company, or another bank or a brokerage house and they say ‘look, we want to buy some derivative puts to freeze our position in British Petroleum, so what kind of a deal can you give us?’  And so the party comes back and says ‘well, we can give you this kind of a deal’, and they accept it and it freezes the position.  And it’s done over the counter so nobody ever sees it.  …It gives you the advantage of not being exposed to any gain or any loss. And you can also do it with stock.  You can short an equal amount of shares that you’re long and freeze the position. And that’s what I think they did.

“And Goldman, back in October along with JP Morgan Chase and HSBC and Citibank and Deutche Bank, they all went long the dollar, and they went short the Euro. So they knew what was going on.

And it’s the same case here. They knew ahead of time. Halliburton knew as well. I mean, this was a planned event.  This didn’t just happen.

Asked upon what he based that, he replied,

“A chain of events, and backing into a conclusion. I mean these things aren’t coincidence. There is no such thing as coincidence.”

Was it strange that Obama said just a couple of weeks before the explosion that he would be open to offshore drilling?  Was it nothing more than window dressing? As if he knew he could get away with saying that because he knew what was to come?

“I think so. Another thing too, if you noticed for the past week, the president has been pushing carbon taxes. And that’s a reflection of the concept of global warming. At the Trilateral meeting two weeks ago in Brussels, they said that it’s a dead issue. People are not going to put up with taxes based on carbon.

…that was one of their goals in the early meetings of the Bilderberger group, which is meeting now in Catalonia… they want to continue to fight for these kinds of taxes and global warming when the whole thing had been exposed as an absolute scam. These people just don’t give up. They think they’re the masters of the universe and they can do anything they want.  In fact a number of people did not attend the meeting because there’s been so much publicity, finally!”
