As I reminded my radio show listening audience tonight, President Ronald Reagan’s birthday is today. I invited them to send me a note for Mrs. Reagan, expressing their sentiment on this occasion. Many of them already have.
If you would like to write a few words to Nancy Reagan about her husband and our beloved president, please send me your note in an email at Radiopatriot@Gmail asap, and I’ll be sure they get included.
I’ll be accepting your sentiments throughout the weekend, but obviously the sooner the better, as his birthday is tomorrow, Feb. 6. I expect it will mean a lot to her…
Our friends Dymphna and Baron Bodissey at Gates of Vienna published this post that I’m reprinting here with the hope that if you haven’t visited their site, you’ll head over for more informative pieces like this. Some very smart people at GoV… very smart.
“Democrats have a Nazi collaborator, literally—international financier George Soros—funding their phony grassroots organizations.” -Ann Coulter
In a 1998 interview with Steve Kroft, George Soros acknowledged forging documents and pretending to be Christian to save himself from the Nazis, for which he feels no guilt or sorrow. “I was fourteen,” Soros said. “My character was made then.” Regarding his participation in confiscating valuables from innocent Jews, and serving death camp warrants, Soros told Kroft, “It created no problem at all.” Soros has no sense that he shouldn’t be there; he felt he was a mere spectator. Soros rationalizes his behavior: “If I didn’t do it, someone else would.”

In 1979, Soros set up his misnamed foundation, the Open Society Institute (OSI). The OSI is the hub of the Shadow Party’s operation, doling out tens of millions every year to radical organizations to further the Soros agenda:
promoting the view that America is institutionally an oppressive nation
promoting the election of leftist political candidates throughout the United States
opposing virtually all post-9/11 national security measures enacted by U.S. government, particularly the Patriot Act
depicting American military actions as unjust, unwarranted, and immoral
promoting open borders, mass immigration, and a watering down of current immigration laws
[…]
Richard Poe explains how Soros was able to dragoon the entire democrat party:
“The Shadow Party is the real power driving the Democrat machine. It is a network of radicals dedicated to transforming our constitutional republic into a socialist hive. The leader of these radicals is … George Soros. He has essentially privatized the Democratic Party, bringing it under his personal control. The Shadow Party is the instrument through which he exerts that control… It works by siphoning off hundreds of millions of dollars in campaign contributions that would have gone to the Democratic Party in normal times, and putting those contributions at the personal disposal of Mr. Soros. He then uses that money to buy influence and loyalty where he sees fit.
[…]
Soros also is working to throw out our Constitution and replace it with his own version:
“In April 2005, Soros’ Open Society Institute was the primary sponsor of a conference at Yale Law School, called, ‘The Constitution in 2020.’

Palin will be the featured speaker at an upcoming event in Daytona Beach. Here’s the scoop (thanks to Jan Moody for the info):
The Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce has moved its 90th Annual Meeting, originally scheduled to be held at the Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort, to the Ocean Center.
The venue change is due to an overwhelming increase in ticket sales for the event, which will feature former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The 90th Annual Meeting will be held on President’s Day, Monday, February 15, 2010. “Sarah Palin is arguably the most sought after speaker in America and we have seen an exponential increase in reservations as we get closer and closer to the event. It is important to let those wishing to hear the Governor have that opportunity. All I can say is you better get your ticket now. Ticket sales are 64% higher today than the actual day of event ticket sales last year and we still have two weeks to go,” said 2009 Chamber Chairman Ted Doran.
Tennessee state Senate speaker and Lt. Gov Ron Ramsey
Tennessee state Senate speaker and gubernatorial candidate Ron Ramsey has joined the growing ranks of officials and prominent commentators who say they are unsure of whether President Barack Obama is a U.S. citizen.
You know the best way for Obama to stop people questioning his citizenship? Prove his citizenship.
And every week-kneed conservative who bemoans the power it gives the left to call us Birthers instead of demanding proof of eligibility are aiding in the downfall of rule of law.
I want his birth records, his passport records, his civil service records, his social security records (since he’s used numerous ones), his selective service registration records, his medical records, his K-12 records from the Punahou school, his records from the Philippines, his Harvard records, his Columbia records, his Occidental College records, any and all college thesis, all records of who funded his college education, his legislative and scheduling records from his time in state senate, and the list goes on.
Barack Obama’s past is a giant black hole. When looking at that hidden life we get repeated hints of criminality and ties to radicals of all stripes. He may not even be eligible for the the position he holds. So when you look at that black hole if you’re first concern is that it may not help you score political points you aren’t doing your duty as an American.
We must uphold the laws, not be lax in enforcing them because it may be inconvenient or controversial. There’s nothing crazy or foolish about wanting the truth. And if you’re truly worried about this being political ammo for a guy who is digging his own grave politically maybe you need to reconsider you’re abject fear of leftist scorn, the ineffectiveness such Birther slams will have in a crowded marketplace of leftist slurs, and Obama’s willingness to paint you all with the brush even though you’ve avoided the issue as if it were plague-ridden.
Get a grip, and demand the truth. And stop being so darn afraid of Obama’s gripes and lawyers. America deserves better from her defenders.
Two years ago today, I posted a birthday greeting to ThirdWaveDave, our ASK show producer and friend Dave Logan.
Titled “A Man’s Choice of Hero Defines Him”, it featured a photo of Gen. George S. Patton, Jr., a man whose outlook on life has impressed and inspired many, especially Dave.
He and I have had many conversations about Patton, about the battles he fought in the war theater and back home in the political morass of Washington DC. Patton knew what it was to fight on many fronts for his men. It was unceasing. But unlike today’s so-called “leadership”, Patton readily took the challenges and risks, and went willingly where others only dream. He led and inspired by example. And his men loved him for it.
“Instead of the empty, generalized rhetoric of no substance often used by Eisenhower, Patton spoke to his men in simple, down to earth language that they understood. He told them truthful lessons he had learned that would keep them alive.
As he traveled throughout battle areas, he always took the time to speak to individual soldiers, squads, platoons, companies, regiments, divisions or whatever size group could be collected.
About the only difference in the context of these talks was that the smaller the unit, the more “tactical” the talk would be. Often he would just give his men some sound, common sense advice that they could follow in order to keep from being killed or maimed.” ~ Charles Province, historian
Somewhere in England on a day in early June 1944, it was the eve of Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion into France. Patton conducted his own “state of the union” address, gathering his men of the Third Army to clearly — and colorfully – prepare them for the battle that lay ahead. Not unlike the (bloodless) battles we now find ourselves in to protect and preserve our country from enemies determined to destroy it. What Gen. Patton told his men in that field that day is still relevant:
“All of the real heroes are not storybook combat fighters, either. Every single man in this Army plays a vital role.
Don’t ever let up. Don’t ever think that your job is unimportant. Every man has a job to do and he must do it. Every man is a vital link in the great chain.
What if every truck driver suddenly decided that he didn’t like the whine of those shells overhead, turned yellow, and jumped headlong into a ditch? The cowardly bastard could say, “Hell, they won’t miss me, just one man in thousands”.
But, what if every man thought that way? Where in the hell would we be now? What would our country, our loved ones, our homes, even the world, be like?
No, Godammit, Americans don’t think like that.”
Just as the Greatest Generation fought for freedom against the Germans and the Japanese, our generation is again being called to defend a country under attack by dual enemies whose ideologies are anathema to the concept of liberty. Who will be the victor? the vanquished?
“I don’t want to get any messages saying, ‘I am holding my position.’ We are not holding a Godamned thing. Let the Germans do that. We are advancing constantly and we are not interested in holding onto anything…”
We are the hope of the world. Without us, the torch of liberty and freedom extinguishes, casting us all into the darkness of Marxist or Jihadist totalitarianism. Patton knew that, as did Ronald Reagan, another of Dave’s heroes. We are the bulwark, the fire line, the wall that separates us from the fires of Mordor.
As the men of Patton’s Third Army went into battle determined to win and perhaps to die to preserve our God-given rights, can we do no less? Consider Patton’s admonition to his men:
“There is one great thing that you men will all be able to say after this war is over and you are home once again.
You may be thankful that twenty years from now when you are sitting by the fireplace with your grandson on your knee and he asks you what you did in the great World War II, you WON’T have to cough, shift him to the other knee and say, “Well, your Granddaddy shoveled shit in Louisiana.”
No, Sir, you can look him straight in the eye and say, “Son, your Granddaddy rode with the Great Third Army and a Son-of-a-Goddamned-Bitch named Georgie Patton!”
Dave’s in the battle. Are you? Do you understand what’s at stake? Patton did. Dave does. Many of us do.
Dave has chosen an amazing man to emulate. And today as he marks another year, he hasn’t shirked, he hasn’t folded, he’s moved forward, never holding ground. In the face of sometimes seemingly insurmountable odds, he’s persevered without complaint. He is defined by his hero.
You know the best way for Obama to stop people questioning his citizenship? Prove his citizenship.
